National Congress of Nigerian Students celebrated excellence in Journalism as it gave awards to the Kwara Stae Correspondent of the Punch, Mr Sucess Nwogu. The State reporter of Channels Television, Mr Olumide Olaoluwakitan, also won an award. NACONS president sai the awards were given to the journalist for their unbiased and comprehensive reportage of events in the state.
Other awards winners included, Nigerian Union of Journalists Kwara State Chapter, Mr Stephen Oni, Chairman Correspondents' Chapel, Kwara State, Mr Felix Ajide; a social commentator, Mr Kunle Okeowo; a renowned writer and lecturer at the University of Ilorin, Prof Olu Obafemi and Deputy Director, Information, UNILORIN, Dr Mahfouz Adedimeji.
Awards are meant for the well deserved. So i guess they deserved it.
